A while ago we celebrated my youngest daughters birthday. She was turning 10 and wanted a Moana themed birthday party. I prefer to DIY as much of my kids party decor as I can because a) it’s sometimes cheaper for me to use whatever left over products I have and b) I’m crazy like that and like to torture myself with extra work!
I recruited my daughter to help me with this project and I have to say it was a super simple project and we had so much fun working together. So let’s get started..
What you’ll need..
- Bamboo skewers (Dollar Tree or Supermarket) cut in half
- Paper towel rolls or toilet paper
- Brown paper bags
- tape or glue
- Green Paper
- 2″ foam ball (Dollar Tree or Craft store) cut in half
- Flower Pot (Dollar Tree)
- rocks (Dollar tree)
Directions…

I love that you took the time to make such a nice decoration for her party! I made a birthday crown for my little guy’s first birthday:
